A Conversation About Love (Online Event)

For years, the study of spirituality was weighted by taboo – in part due to the impact of religious politics and trauma. In the last decade however, the psychedelic renaissance has done much to rehabilitate and revitalize this concept in both research and practice. Can we do the same for love? Love is a separate but related theme commonly experienced with sacred plant medicines and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies. So many report powerful and transformational experiences of love – from self-love, to love felt from and towards others, to experiences of “being” love – and yet rarely is the study of love the primary focus of inquiry or attention, reflecting a broader discomfort with the concept. Whether a result of its entanglement with ideas of romantic love and sexual attraction, or that many have been hurt in the name of “love”, Gabor and Adele will explore the many facets of love, its role in healthcare, and the potential for the psychedelic renaissance to support our culture to evolve in love.
